Obituary

Ronald Cohick passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.  His life began August 11, 1939 in Rochester NY, born to his parents Charles and Mable Cohick.  Once a Marine, always a Marine Sept 1956 – Sept 1963 U.S.S. Long Beach and U.S.S. Randolph.  He continued to serve as part of the Honor Guard in Del Webb Community to show his love of the flag and country.

He was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend.  He will be missed by many as he was known for his smile and always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone.  Preceded in death by his parents Charles Cohick and Mable Hugo and his older sister Gloria Hoffmann (Melvin), and his beloved "KC" kitty.  He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years Rose M Cohick, his brother Charles Cohick Jr. (Marge) his sister Bonnie Platt (Thomas) his sons from his previous marriage Todd Cohick (Karen) and Michael Cohick and daughter Charlene Cohick, his 6 grandson's Benjamin, Adam (Skylar), Noah, Jamison (great-grandson Mason Glisson-Cohick), Jake and Tavion and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his step-son Robert Allyn and is survived by his step-children Kathleen, James, Ruth and Richard.

Many thanks to the doctors and nurses on the second floor at West Marion Community Hospital and Hospice of Marion County for the care given to dad in his last days.  As his daughter I was blessed to spend his last days with him and will always cherish our time together. Dad was blessed with a full life and said at the end of his life that if it was his time, he was ready and knew he was headed home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  His final resting place will be at Bushnell National Cemetery with a service to be held on March 31, 2022 at 1:30pm.  Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-480-5959.  Sentiments may be left online at www.baldwincremation.com.  Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-480-5959.  Sentiments may be left online at www.baldwincremation.com.
