Ronald A. Godlewski, 86, of Ormond Beach, FL and formerly of Lake George, NY passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at AdventHealth Hospital in Daytona Beach, FL following a short illness. Ron was born on April 20, 1940 in Rotterdam, NY, the son of the late Alphonse and Jane (Florkiewicz) Godlewski.

Ron was raised in Rotterdam, and attended Draper High School, SUNY Cobleskill and Hartwick College. Ron worked in finance for General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) for over twenty-five years and finished his financial career at KeyBank.

Prior to moving year-round to Florida in 2019, for many years Ron split his time between the summer months in Lake George, NY and the winter months in Daytona Beach, FL. Ron loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time walking the beach in Florida and boating on Lake George, always with his wife Joan. Ron was a devoted husband and father and was known for his good humor and ability to bring a smile to your face. He was also an avid Notre Dame sports and New York Yankees fan.

Ron will be deeply missed and is survived by his son, Kevin Godlewski and wife Erica and their daughter Ava of Hillsdale, NJ; his sister, Barbara Henry of Mt. Airy, MD; his sister, Marica Hesler and husband Jim of Wayne, PA; and several nephews and a niece. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his beloved wife of 45 years, Joan (Hourigan) Godlewski.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church, 50 Mohican Street, Lake George, NY. Burial will be private and there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake George Association, PO Box 408, Lake George, NY 12845.
