Ronald A.
Holley
October 30, 1934 – July 31, 2020
Ronald A. Holley of Fort Myers, passed away July 31, 2020, at the age of 85, just shy of his and Lorraine's 46th wedding anniversary. Ron lived a long and very full life. After his service in the United States Air Force, he began a long and varied aviation career, retiring as Vice President of Safety and Compliance at US Airways in 1996.
As most of you know, Ron was the father of six wonderful sons, Brad, Dave, Blake, Scott, Malcolm, and Nick. He was proud of each and every one of them and he was a father they all looked up to. Also grandfather to four; three beautiful granddaughters, Jordan, Lila, and Aletta, and one handsome grandson, Toran.
He had a passion for anything that floated, volunteering many hours at boat museums in Newport, RI., and in Wolfeboro, NH. His favorite accomplishment was spending two years restoring a classic 1941 mahogany runabout. He then enjoyed taking the fruits of his labor cruising Petunia out on Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro. Ron enjoyed many other hobbies, including reading, crossword puzzles, the game of golf, skiing (in younger years), and spending quality time with his family.
Lorraine, of course, will miss everything about him, but especially his dancing prowess. "He was the best darn dancer ever!" He will be remembered with much love from all.
