Ronald "Ron" W. Hood Sr, 79, of Seminole, FL, passed away April 29, 2026. He was born in Cleveland, OH on August 14, 1946, and was a graduate of Mayfield High School. Ron had a career in tool sales and worked for Snap-on Tools Incorporated. During his retirement, he also worked part time for Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club. He proudly served in the United States Navy and remained a lasting member of the VFW and the American Legion. On April 24, 1976, he married his loving wife, Shirley. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Ron is survived by his wife, Shirley Hood; his children, Ron Jr (Tracy), Stacey (Hank), and Niki (Billy); his grandchildren, Jared, Sage, Sarena, and Sydney; and his siblings, Joyce (Ronnie) and Robin.

A memorial mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Seminole, FL. A celebration of life will also be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at VFW of Seminole, Post # 9272.
