Ronald R McNeilly, age 81, passed away peacefully at Legacy House Hospice Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in Ocala, Florida.

Born in 1936 to Donald and Dorothy McNeilly, Ron was raised in Chicago, Illinois. He went on to attend Valparaiso University, where he met his wife of 59 years, Miriam. He was a kind and devoted husband and father.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Before moving to Ocala, Ron resided in Racine, WI, for 40 years. It was there he developed his passion for sailing and love of the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed playing bridge and going out to dinner with friends. Ron was very involved in his church community, serving on several committees throughout the years.

Ron is survived by his wife, Miriam; their two children, Steven (Lynn) McNeilly of Racine, WI, and Beth (Dan) Bode of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Heather (Angelo) Sackman, Alexa Bode, and Andrew McNeilly; great grandchildren Addison Sackman and Logan Sackman.

Ron's family would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to his many doctors and nurses, and for the great care he received at Legacy House Hospice.
