Ronald Murphy died in Estero, Florida on 8/25/2023 at age 90 after an illness. He is survived by his son Thomas Scott and his daughter Christina and her husband Yale, his friend Tracy and many friends around the world. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine.

He was born in Pittsburg and lived overseas most of his life, in England, Switzerland and the French Riviera. He retired to Naples Florida in 2004. He attended Darthmouth College. He worked overseas for various international companies, ending his career as an executive search consultant.

He spoke various languages fluently, including French, Italian and German. He was a member of various clubs including the American International Club of Geneva, the East India Club in London and in later years the Alliance Française, the Italian Cultural Society of Naples and the Naples Council on World Affairs.

He had an active social life and enjoyed gardening, classical music and opera, travelling and most of all entertaining. He will be remembered as a kind and charming man and a gracious host with a lively sense of humor.

A service will be held at a later date at the Emanuel Episcopal Church in Geneva.
