IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald Hiram
Reagan
May 8, 1943 – February 25, 2026
Ronald Hiram Reagan, 82, of Ocala, FL peacefully entered Heavenly rest on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Being the date of his Mother’s Heavenly birthday, what rejoicing there must have been to be reunited with her! As a young boy Ronald accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, a comfort to us knowing he is now present with the Lord. Being oldest of 4 brothers, he was born on May 8, 1943, to Sallie Ruth Fowler and H.C. “Buck” Reagan in Molena, Georgia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Marie Jesse Reagan and 4 children of a previous marriage to Linda Camp Reagan (married 1964-1985): Stephanie Parrott (Mike) of Covington, GA; Stacie Peterson of Pendleton, SC; Carmen Farmer (Brian) of Dallas, GA and Steve Reagan (Jeanine) of Flowery Branch, GA. Stepchildren: Valinda Greer of WA and Paul Ford of TN. Brothers: Frank Reagan (Pat), Edwin Reagan (Anne) and Charles Reagan (Pam). Grandchildren: Marcus Pollard (Catrina); Andrew Pollard (Nicki); Bryant Pollard (Mary Gray); Savannah Payne (Nathan); Tor Peterson (Keely); Ronda Newsome (Andrew); Noah Farmer; Rachel Farmer; Eliana Reagan. Step Grandchildren: Nathan Ford; Brandon Lund; Jenna Ford and Danae Gillespie (Kellon). Great Grandchildren: Max Pollard; Lakynn Pollard; Sallie Pollard; Reagan Pollard; Reed Pollard; Will Pollard; Maggie Pollard; Kallum Peterson; Maclain Peterson and another on the way, Baby Payne is due in July! Step Great Granddaughter: Aubrey Bailey Gillespie.
Survived as well by many other dear family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Evelyn Martin, previous marriage.
He attended Jonesboro High School in Jonesboro, GA and graduated in the class of 1961. He also took night courses at Georgia State College. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Army Reserves in 1963 to proudly serve his country. His duty station was at Fort Benning in Columbus, GA where he trained as a Green Beret. He also earned his wings in Airborne training as a Paratrooper. While being stationed there the movie Green Berets was filmed starring John Wayne, he loved to share that story with us.
Dedicated to a life of service, he became a Firefighter with Clayton County Fire Department in 1977. During his time there he developed a strong brotherhood with other firefighters and developed lifelong friendships. Other jobs he worked during his career were with Ford Motor Company, Central Auto Parts, Riverdale Auto Parts and Sears appliance repair. The man knew how to fix things! When in doubt we called DAD! He retired from Clayton County Fire Dept. in 2002 and finally had time for the things he enjoyed most. In 2003 he also married his love, Marie.
Ronald was a devoted husband, Dad and Papa to his large family. He had a way of making each one of us feel special. Hobbies he enjoyed were spending time with his family and friends, reading his Bible & having devotional time with Marie, fishing, golfing, playing cards, walking on the beaches of Panama City, riding his tractor at his home in Brooks, GA, watching old Westerns & Documentaries, listening to his favorite music, usually Alan Jackson, Don Williams, Jimmy Buffet or Zac Brown with his all-time favorite song being Rooster Blues by Lightnin’ Slim. A lover of dogs, whether visiting or those he owned, especially his sweet Josh. He loved to cook; his specialties were Jambalaya and Brunswick Stew. We knew him as a man of strength, Godly wisdom, bravery, integrity, exemplary work ethic, truth, great style and charm. A true Southern gentleman with a hearty laugh and loving heart. He will be dearly missed. Until we meet again one day in Heaven.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service in remembrance of him in Molena, Georgia on May 23, 2026. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to any organization assisting families of First Responders.
