Ronald W. Richards Sr, age 85, of Largo, FL, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026. He was surrounded by family.

Born and raised in the Washington, DC area, Ron retired to FL over 20 years ago. He enjoyed country music, dancing, gambling and golf. He will definitely be remembered for his sense of humor.

He is survived by his son, Ron (Gretchen) Richards Jr; his daughter, Kym Olson; and grandchildren, Amy Olson, Jenny (Ben) Fraczkowski, and Sean Richards. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Gordon; his brother, Darryl Richards; his nephew, John Gordon; and his nieces, Terry Gordon, Lori Richards, and Stacy Barko. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jody; and his second wife, Cathy Larkin-Richards.
