Ronald A. C. Stier passed away peacefully on June 1, 2022, at home in New Smyrna Beach FL. Born in Syosset, New York on April 25, 1965, he graduated from Chaminade High School. After graduation, Ron joined the Navy where he trained and worked as a radioman. Moving to Florida after the Navy, he joined the Holly Hill Police Department where he served as a police officer. He transferred to the Volusia County Sheriff's office as a Deputy Sheriff. Throughout his career, he served in the County Courts and the Airport within Volusia County. Ron retired in 2021 from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office with distinction. His colleagues remembered him fondly for his "twisted sense of humor" and his "kindness, generosity, support, and friendship."

Ron was preceded in death by his mother Nancy and Father John Stier as well as his beloved Godson Matthew Wilson. He is survived by his sisters, Amy, Valerie, and Jessica as well as his cousin Kevin and nephew Christopher, and Goddaughter Samantha.
