Rose Marie DiMuro, nee DiMaso, 89, wife of Gabriel DiMuro passed away February 8, 2018. Born on July 13, 1928, in Camden, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Leonard and Emma DiMaso. Rose Marie attended Camden High school where she met Gabriel and they became high school sweethearts. They married after his discharge from the Army and have been together for 65 years. She worked as an executive secretary to Pulitzer Prize winner Dr. Roy F Nichols, Dean of the Graduate School of the University of Pennsylvania.
After 11 years at the university Rose Marie left to give full attention to raising her daughter Dawn. When Dawn started high school Rose Marie accepted a secretarial position at the same High School. Rose Marie and her husband retired to New Smyrna Beach, Florida where she enjoyed the ocean, playing golf and tennis and especially creating greeting cards. For the past 5 years Rose Marie enjoyed living at the Bishop's Glen Retirement Community and was active in the Lunch Bunch group, the Dietary Committee, and also volunteered for special occasions. She was very happy to be a part of the community.
In addition to her beloved husband Gabriel, Rose Marie leaves behind daughter, Dr Dawn DiMuro, Dawn's husband, Dr Alan Kooreman and grandson, Gabriel Kooreman, PhD.
Celebration of Life Ceremony will be at Bishop's Glen on Saturday, February 24 at 2:00 PM. Private internment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to THE RESIDENT'S COUNCIL OF BISHOP'S GLEN MEMORIAL FUND, 900 LPGA BLVD, HOLLY HILL, FL 32117
