"On Saturday, January 25, 2020, Rudolf "Rudy" Kolesar passed away at the age of 85.  He was born in Turzovka, Slovakia on April 15, 1934 to Jan and Maria Kolesar.  Being an independent spirit with dreams of a better life, Rudy fled communist Czechoslovakia in his teenage years for an opportunity at the American dream.  As a young man with nothing but a strong work ethic and resolve, Rudy worked his way from a bakery assistant, earning enough money to gain citizenship, all the way up to a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating a tile business.  He was a natural carpenter and self-constructed his own homes, constructing his last home well into his 70's.  Although he lived his life as an American, he never forgot where he came from and was generous in giving back to his family in Turzovka.

Rudy was preceded in death by his eldest and youngest sons, Rudolf and Richard.  He is survived by his wife Carol, his four children, Mark, Karen, Chris and Doug, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  He will forever be remembered for his strong will, determination, building skills, and generosity to his family.
