Ruediger “Rudy” Sellschopp, 91, of Summerfield, Florida, passed away on July 19, 2026. Born in Germany, Rudy served in the German Luftwaffe before emigrating to the United States, where he built a successful career in international trade. He was known for his quiet strength, unwavering integrity, sharp wit, and warm, steady presence that endeared him to all who knew him.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Waltrud (“Vavie”) Sellschopp; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Shawn Cook of Temple, Texas; his grandson, Evan Alexander Cook; and other beloved family members in the United States and Germany. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A memorial service will be held with the family at a later date.
