Rufus Owen Edwards Jr., of Port St. John, died unexpectedly on November 24, 2022.  R.O. was only 83 years old.  The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. R.O. was born on December 9, 1938, attended Heath High School in Kentucky, and lived in Port St. John for most of his life.

R.O. was small business owner – he owned and operated R.O.'s Lawn Service in Port St. John and Titusville for over 30 years.  R.O.'s Lawn Service was R.O.'s pride, joy, and life's work.  R.O. poured his heart and soul into the business, which showed to all customer and patrons of R.O.'s Lawn Service.

In addition to owning R.O.'s Lawn Service, R.O. was a member of Retirees of the Cape.  He spent most of his free time working and spending time with his wife Joanne and his family.

Everyone who knew R.O. knew how hard-working he was.  R.O. was full of love and life, traits that were obvious to all after even after just one meeting with him.  R.O. is survived by his wife, Joanne; children Joni Redwine and spouse Steve Redwine, Bryan Edwards and spouse Torri Edwards, and Shelly Lambert and spouse Anthony Lambert; grandchildren Geoffrey Doyle and spouse Sarah Doyle, Sydney Edwards, Courtney Buchholz and spouse Devin Buchholz, Justin Lambert, Nicholas Edwards, and Heidi Lambert; and an abundance of friends.  We will miss him more than words can say.

There will be a service on December 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in Titusville.
