Russell ("Rusty") William Potts, of Fort McCoy, Florida succumbed to cancer on January 22, 2017 at Estelle's House at the Hospice of Marion County.  Rusty was born in Malden, Massachusetts to William T. and Carlla E. Potts on May 2, 1960.  He graduated from Galileo High School in San Francisco, California and is a veteran of the United States Army.  He served as a Cumberland County Sheriff's Deputy prior to moving to Florida, where he volunteered as a Director of the Fort McCoy/Eureka Community Service Center.  Rusty will be remembered for his sense of humor, intelligence, and his passions for cooking, gardening, model trains, and all animals.  He passed away peacefully with Cindy Fast by his side.  Predeceased by his father, Bill, he is survived by his mother, Carlla Potts of Portland, Maine, sister and brother-in-law, Julia Tiffany and Duane Rancourt, Jr. of Scarborough, Maine, sister, Kathleen Potts of New York, and numerous cousins in Massachusetts and Florida.  Online Condolences may be placed at www.baldwincremation.com
