Ruth Beekman, 87, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away on September 5, 2016 at Halifax Health Hospice Port Orange Care Center. Ruth was born on April 24, 1929 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to the late Mario and Nellie (Pulshier) Pellizarro. She was a homemaker and she also worked for a short time as a CNA at Halifax Health Medical Center. Ruth was a great cook and she loved horses and dogs. She also enjoyed taking cruises with her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Sullivan (Wayne) of DeLand, Florida; her son, Russell J. Beekman III (Sharon) of Ormond Beach, Florida; her son Alan Beekman of Reno, Nevada; her son, Bruce Beekman of Scottsdale, Arizona; her son, Robert Beekman (Barbara) of Port Orange, Florida; her daughter, Ellen Bryans (Don) Port Orange, Florida; her ten grandchildren, and her twelve great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Beekman. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Port Orange, Florida.
