Ruth Anne Krueger (nee Shrake) passed away on 4/7 2025 in The Villages, FL, due to natural causes.  She was 84 years old.

Ruth was born on March 1 ^st , 1941, to the parents of Beatrice and George Shrake in Wauwatosa, WI.  She graduated in 1963 with a BS in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  She married Dennis Krueger on January 9, 1965, and they moved to Brookfield WI.  Ruth worked her entire career in nursing and care giving starting at the VA hospital in Milwaukee WI, then The Congregational Nursing Home in Brookfield WI, followed by teaching LPN's geriatric nursing at WCTC and finally ending her career as The Director of Inservice at Luther Manor in Milwaukee WI.  After retirement, Ruth and Dennis relocated to the Villages in central Florida to be closer to their family.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was known for her positive attitude towards everything and passionate about her English Springer Spaniels.  She loved mysteries and historical fiction of all types.

Ruth is survived by her son Kristopher, her daughter-in-law Paulette and her granddaughter Danielle.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in Wildwood, FL from 1 to 3 pm on 4/26/25.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
