Sally Ann Louise Lambert Quirk, 86, New Smyrna Beach, FL died at home on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Norwich, CT on November 8, 1929, to Gustave and Beatrice S. Freeman Lambert. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth J. Perry (Mark) , Auburn, New York, brother David F. Lambert (Janet), Exeter, New Hampshire, daughter Elizabeth Muzikar (Maureen), New Smyrna Beach, William (Bill) F. Quirk, Jr (Ramona), Edgewater, Margaret Rose Mahaffey, New Smyrna Beach, Timothy (Tim) D. Quirk (Pamela) Fort Pierce FL, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and her 2 beloved boxer dogs Rommel and Jasmine.
Sally Ann earned a BS at the University of New Hampshire in Home Economics, and a Masters in Education from Stetson University. She was a 4H agent, silk screened pinwheels, and taught in Florida elementary schools for 29 years, especially Faulkner street school, retiring in 1994. All of her students loved her.
Sally Ann moved to New Smyrna Beach Fl in 1965 and lived with her daughter Elizabeth since 1993. She loved to read, especially poetry by Robert Frost, travel, visiting Europe, Spain, Gibraltar, Mexico and Canada, and extensively in the United States. It took her 5 minutes to pack and she was ready to hit the road to anywhere.
Her favorite poem was the Road Less Traveled By, By Robert Frost.
