Salvatore "Sal"
Iodice
August 21, 1946 – February 19, 2022
Intensely Italian, this best describes this husband, father, brother, in-law, and friend to many. Salvatore "Sal" Iodice born in Naples, Italy passed away on Saturday, February 19 th , 2022, after a courageous second battle with cancer.
Sal immigrated to the United States as the young man at the age of 22, where he learned the English language by taking Italian classes at the local university. He completed his studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Herbert H. Lehman College in 1977. Sal's love for travel landed him the industry starting as a reservation agent for Alitalia to 30+ years later owning his own hotel management company. Sal was a lifetime member of the Harley Davidson Owner Group (HOG), when he retired in The Villages, Florida he put aside the motorcycles for a golf cart. He loved to play golf (even got a hole in one) and gave back to the community by teaching weekly conversational Italian classes.
Family was everything to Sal. He leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years Rosemary; his three children, Joseph, Ronnie, and Cristina; two sisters Olimpia Spatocco and Matilde Liccardi from Naples and his very precious grandchildren; Nicole, Brooke, Massimo, Kailey, Alessandra, and Dean.
Sal lived a rich life. Rich in adventures, friends near and far, and a family that loved him dearly. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome a donation to the National Cancer Society or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Sal's name.
