Sandra Jean Bailey was born August 23, 1953 in Fort Lauderdale , Florida to James and Essie Lou Hancock. Sandy was the second of four children.  She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed children, family, reading, crafts, and playing cards.  Sandy relocated to Summerfield in 2009 after her father's passing to live with her mother. It was here that Sandy found Village View Community Church. To use her words it was "home". She spent time volunteering with the food bank, clothing, and Celebrate Recovery missions.  Sandy is survived by her mother Essie Lou; sister Carolyn; children Joe and wife Terresa, David and wife Kristina, and Tami and husband Dennis; grandchildren Aurburnee, Shyanne, Lexi, Brittney, Joey, and Johnny; great grandchildren Zoey, Bentley, Landon, Chase, and Aaliyah.  Sandy was preceded in death by her father James, sister Brenda, and brother Jerry.  A Celebration of Sandy's Life will be held at Village View Community Church 8585 SE 147th place Summerfield, FL 34491 on Saturday, Aug. 20th at 2pm.
