Sandra Jean Brown, 67, of Sarasota, passed away on October 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family after a long battle with lung infections. Sandy was born in Darby, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1955, to the late Nelson Stickler and Constance Abrams.

Sandy grew up in Cinnaminson, NJ. She graduated from Cinnaminson High School in 1974 and from Rider College in Lawrenceville, NJ, in 1976. In 1980, she moved to Sarasota.

Sandy spent most of her career in the financial services industry and was highly involved in community organizations. She was a Girl Scout troop leader, volunteered on a local All Children's Hospital committee, was a member of the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, and held numerous leadership positions in school parent-teacher associations and other local organizations. As an avid lifelong singer, Sandy was a member of the Gulf Coast Community Choir and group Starlite, did gig work, and sang for Unity of Sarasota services. She could also play piano and flute, loved to garden, and enjoyed traveling to see friends and family.
