Sandra Lynn Repenning, affectionately known as “Sandy,” age 83, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026. She was born on March 4, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Helen Dier and Rodell Cook.

Sandy was a graduate of West Tech High School in Cleveland and later earned her college degree from Ohio University. She began her professional career as an elementary school teacher before transitioning into the commercial insurance industry, where she continued to build a fulfilling career.

While Sandy accomplished much throughout her life, her greatest joy was her family. Family always came first, and she was often the one organizing gatherings, celebrations, games, and activities that brought everyone together. She had a wonderful ability to make people feel welcome and included, and her fun-loving spirit made time spent with her especially memorable.

Sandy loved her Christian faith and her relationship with the Lord. She raised her family with those values and devoted much of her later years to volunteering with various organizations and churches. Her faith, generosity, and desire to serve others were important parts of who she was.

Sandy also enjoyed spending time with friends, keeping up with current events, learning about new things, and meeting new people. Earlier in her life, she especially enjoyed vacations and traveling. She had a deep love for animals, particularly dogs, and took great pleasure in caring for them.

Those who knew Sandy will remember her as one of the most caring and fun-loving people they had the privilege of knowing. She had a special love for children and enjoyed watching them grow, encouraging them, and being part of their lives. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a particularly special place in her heart, and she was a cherished presence in their lives.

Sandy is survived by her brother, Robert Cook, and her sister, Eunice Massei. She is also survived by her sons, Jeffrey Repenning and his wife, Cynthia, and Brent Repenning and his wife, Kimberly; her grandchildren, Alexander Repenning and his wife, ReGina, Scott Repenning and his wife, Kelly, and Lindsay Repenning; her great-grandson, Matchum Repenning; and a great-grandson who is expected to arrive in October 2026.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eldon Cook, Donald Cook, and Dewayne Cook, and her sister, Marlene Pasko.

Sandy leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, family, friendship, service, and countless cherished memories. Her laughter, caring heart, and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Most of all, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family and for the lasting impact she made on the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and all those fortunate enough to know her.
