Obituary

Sarah J. Lumbert, 82, passed away peacefully at home on August 20th 2024, surrounded by her family and friends, in Edgewater, Florida. Born on May 18th, 1942, in West Warwick, Rhode Island, Sarah was the beloved daughter of Frederick and Ursula Woolfall and sister to Freddy, Ann, and David.

Sarah graduated from Saint Xavier High School in 1961 and pursued her passion for education at Salve Regina University, where she earned her degree. She dedicated 14 years of her life, as a nun, working for the catholic church, where her faith and commitment to service touched many lives. After her dispensation, she continued her love for education as a teacher where she made a lasting impact on countless students. She had a remarkable ability to see the potential in every student, working to help them achieve what others might not have believed, possible.

On February 8th, 1973, Sarah married the love of her life, Herbert H. Lumbert. Together they built a life full of love and shared fifty one, wonderful years together. They were blessed with two sons, Christopher and Erik, and three grandchildren, Kire, Cameron, and Olivia, who were the light of her life. She was a pillar of support to her husband and children, standing by them in every endeavor, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, and was always present at their activities and each milestone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her son Erik, whose memory remained ever present in her heart. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Lumbert, son, Chris(Liz) Lumbert, Jackie Levine, her three grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family, as well as her trusted canine companion, Jinx.

Her legacy is one of love, dedication, and a profound belief in the power of family, she will missed by all who knew her.
