Obituary
Scott Allen Whetstone, 66, of Port Charlotte, FL., passed on July 18 2023. He was
born on June 5 1957 in Massillon, OH..
Scott was a United States Coast Guard Veteran and served his Country for 5 years from 1975-1980.
After serving, Scott settled in the local area and from that point forward considered the West Coast of Florida his home.
He was a Master Electrician and quickly earned respect within employers & co-workers for his knowledge. From 1980-2009 He worked for AM Electric Inc. in Venice for 29 years. In 2010, he relocated his skills to work for Michael J. Looney Electric in Englewood FL. until the time of his passing.
He was an avid sports fan and football was his all-time favorite. Buc's & Ohio State Games were never missed on the TV screen.
He
is survived by his loving wife Christine (Lewis) Whetstone, his siblings, Jane Whetstone & Rich (Michelle) Whetstone. Children, Rachel (Marcus) Love and Nicholas (Alicia) Whetstone. Five grandchildren Alex, Chandler, Landon, Jaxson & Ava. Niece Amanda (Tim) Day, Nephews Jimmy Murphy & Craig (Ashley) Whetstone.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gerald & Anna (Gatchell) Whetstone
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 20
th
at 1pm at the Nokomis Fraternal Order of Eagles #3482
