Sharon Maureen Anderson, 77, of Ormond Beach, Florida and originally from Maywood, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago), passed away to be with the Lord May 22, 2020. Sharon was born December 15, 1942, the daughter of Philip and Delores Mels.

Sharon was a travel agent for many years. Her specialty was arranging trips to Hawaii for her clients. She was very knowledgeable in this area and in knowing the history of Hawaii. Her favorite place in the world to visit was the island of Kauai.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Delores Mels. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Anderson Sr., her children, Kevin O'Malley of Berwyn, IL, and Kathy O'Malley Whitinger of Rockford, MI, 2 step-children, Stephen Anderson Jr. (Sandy) of Marseilles, IL, and Lori Einhaus (Mike) of Ottawa, IL. She is also survived by 1 brother, Gary Mels (Barbra), 5 grandchildren, John Whitinger (Alyssa) of Milwaukee, WI, Philip Whitinger (Maddie) of Oklahoma City, OK, Abbie Whitinger of Los Angeles, CA, Kaydon O'Malley, and Georgianna O'Malley, step-grandchildren, Steven Anderson (Amy) of Ottawa, IL, Sean Anderson of Marseilles, IL, Chad Hackler of LaSalle, IL, Trenton Einhaus of Orlanda, FL, and Alana Cuchaira (Jared) of Beaufort, DC, 1 great-grandchild, Elliott Garrison Whitinger, and 4 step-great-grandchildren, Peyton Anderson, Piper Anderson, Audrina Anderson, and Moriah Anderson.
