Sharon Lee Hurd, age 79, of Palm Harbor, Florida, went to be with Jesus on April 20, 2025. A woman of fervent faith, it was no coincidence that she went to Heaven on Easter Sunday
She was born in Fulton, New York, on June 3, 1945, to a large family of 14 children. She graduated from Liverpool High School. On November 23,1967, she was married to Clarence Hurd, with whom she enjoyed many adventures, including everything from hiking the Grand Canyon twice to flying in the experimental aircraft that he built. Sharon was a loving wife and mother and worked as a teacher's aide at Faith Baptist Academy in Baldwinsville, New York. In her later years, she enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society. She had a passion for her family, loved knitting/crocheting, was always generous, and dedicated herself to spreading the hope of the Gospel with everyone she met.
She was survived by her faithful husband, Clarence, and her loving children, Dan (Joanne) Hurd and Ruth "Joey" Mudge. She also was survived by two adoring grandchildren, Drew Mudge and Felicia Hurd, and her siblings, Ed Stover, Danny Waldron and Maryel Briggs. Sharon also had many nieces and nephews and dear friends that she leaves behind.
