Shawn E. Powers of North Fort Myers, Florida died peacefully Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the Hope Hospice center in Cape Coral, Florida after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  Shawn was born March 6, 1952 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Joseph Powers and Marion (Downer) Smith.

He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Braley) Powers who died unexpectedly on January 13, 2022.

Shawn enjoyed watching western movies and tv shows, playing horseshoes with his friends, fishing in the Gulf of Mexico in Florida, and camping in Vermont with his family.  Shawn met his wife and soulmate, Patricia, in an online chat group and were married October 13, 2001 on a beautiful fall day in Vermont. They made their home in South Royalton, Vermont prior to moving to North Fort Myers, Florida in 2010.  He and his wife spent many seasons as "snowbirds" and traveled back to Vermont for summers to host cookouts and to gather with family and friends.

A private burial along with his wife will take place at the Hartford Point Cemetery in White River Junction, VT.
