Sheila M. Conte (Friedlander) of The Villages, Florida passed away at home surrounded by her family on the morning of May 7th, 2020. Born February 3, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY, Sheila was raised in Kew Gardens, Queens and was a 1964 Graduate of Jamaica High School. Sheila spent most of her life working and raising her family in Northern NJ. Sheila retired after a long and distinguished sales career in 2009. In 2011 Sheila had moved The Villages, Florida where she met the greatest friends she had ever known. Her loves included shopping, playing her weekly mahjong games, volunteering at the ASPCA and her time with her many friends, family & grandchildren. Sheila was predeceased by her father Morris Friedlander, her mother Frieda Sherman. Sheila is survived by her husband of 39 years, Edward Conte, her son & daughter in law Mitch & Barbara Kalmus Long Valley, NJ, her son, Cory Kalmus of Rochester, NY, her daughter & son in law, Staci & Kevin Hohmann of Fords, NJ, her brother & sister in law, Howard & Elaine Friedlander of Palm Desert, CA, along with 5 Grandchildren, Alexis Kalmus of Durham, NC Jonathan & Madison Kalmus of Long Valley, NJ & Matthew & Sean Hohmann of Fords, NJ , her niece & nephews as well as her beloved puppy, Winston.
