Obituary

On February 14, 2026, Sheila Ruth Lefsky, born in Camden, New Jersey on February 28, 1950 succumb to her battle with Alzheimer’s and went home to be with God. After leaving New Jersey, Sheila spent the last 45 years living in Florida and Texas, before retiring in Scottish Highlands in Leesburg, Florida where she was famous for baking her homemade chocolate cake. Sheila helped to run a successful gourmet foods business before changing careers late in life. She earned a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and focused her time helping veterans and those suffering with addiction. In her personal life, she was selfless and focused on helping others and was recognized for this in her work life when she was named Florida Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner of the Year. 

She is survived by her spouse of 55 years, Stuart Lefsky of Leesburg, Florida; her children, Evan and Christine Lefsky of Mount Dora, Florida, Pamela and Michael Perlmutter of Monroe Township, New Jersey, and Samantha Warmenhoven of Tavares, Florida; siblings David and Michelle Greenberg of Moorestown, NJ and Jack and Laura Greenberg of Plainsboro, NJ; and her eight grandchildren, Harley Warmenhoven, Juliana Warmenhoven, Emma Lefsky, Austin Lefsky, Sarah Perlmutter, Justin Perlmutter, Natalie Young, and Dylan Young. She is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Esther Greenberg. 

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made in her honor to Cornerstone Hospice of Tavares, Florida or the Alzheimer's Association.
