With great sorrow the Yaggie, Morrison, Brinley, and Crist families announce the passing of our kind, brave, caring, and unimaginably generous wife, mother, sister, and friend, Shellee Anne Yaggie, returned to her Heavenly Father unexpectedly on November 20th, 2024 at her home in Port Orange, Florida. She was only 52 years old. Our families are deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death. Shellee is survived and missed dearly by her husband Chuck Yaggie, her beloved daughter Elisabeth "Iszy" Yaggie, her loving mother Kathleen Morrison, and her father John Brinley. Forever remembered by her siblings Suzanne Crist and husband Bill Crist, her niece Sarah and nephew William II, along with her beloved mother-in-law Lola Yaggie, her brother-in-law Wil Yaggie, along with other assorted family and many caring friends. Shellee is preceded in death by her brother Christopher, her grandparents Sandra and Herbert Nelson, as well as her step-father Rick Morrison and father-in-law Ron Yaggie. Shellee was born in Port Huron, Michigan, grew up in nearby Marlette, and graduated from Port Huron High School in 1990. She later pursued criminal justice at the University of Central Florida, where she graduated with honors and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Shellee worked as a Paralegal at Politis & Matovina law firm for nearly 10 wonderful years of her life. She made a tremendous, positive impact on her Firm family, and her clients. She was a natural talent in the legal world and was much loved by all who had the pleasure of working with her. It is a huge loss for the Firm in so many ways, but her sense of humor, her loving spirit, and her unwavering kindness and support of her teammates will never be forgotten. She was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of her time supporting Iszy's softball and band activities. The relationship she had with her daughter was like no other. They shared an unbreakable bond. Shellee was a wonderful mother who always ensured she spent quality time with her daughter. Iszy was her best friend and confidant. While Shellee loved all sports, her passion was Fastpitch Softball and watching Iszy grow up in the sport. But her superpower was her ability to connect to every player, parent, and coach she ever crossed paths with. Her heart allowed her to look for the good in everyone every day, but she had the unbelievable talent to see greatness in every player before they did and could express the encouragement needed for them to reach their true potential. That's a one-of-a-kind trait that the world is going to miss. From the Exclusives Academy Organization, where Shellee held the Vice President of Operations post, she was instrumental in ensuring that our teams were well-equipped while informed and understood the mission. We lost our guiding light of kindness, our tower of joy and compassion, and a dear family member. She will be sorely missed in the softball world, but her legacy will live on through decisions that we make every day in honor of her. We take comfort in knowing she's left a lasting impression on all our hearts. She loved music, enjoyed running, traveling, bowling, and, most of all, helping people. Many knew Shellee was an avid sports lover, and a die-hard Ram's fan. She loved watching football and schooling her husband on the game as much as possible! She loved playing with her animals and adored her time with Iszy, supporting her love of softball. Shellee was selfless and put others first. She was fun-loving, outgoing, and vivacious. She was an example to so many and a shining light to all who knew her. When you think of Shellee, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. She will be missed more than we can express, but she will be forever in our hearts, till we meet again. No words can express how grateful and blessed we are to have our family, friends, and Shellee's work family, all of whom have been there for us. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the Port Orange EMT, firefighters, and POPD for doing everything they could. The viewing and visitation will be held on December 11th, 2024, from 11am to 1pm, at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home (1 N. Causeway New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169). Immediately following the viewing and visitation a graveside ceremony will be held at Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery (700 S Ridgewood Ave, Edgewater, FL 32132).
