Ms. Sherry Anne (Lance) Loining, age 68, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2023, with family at her side, at the home of her brother Brian Lance and his partner Sue Paquin in Ocala, FL. Born on November 12, 1954, in Staten Island NY, the daughter of Thelma (Ferkel) and Ernest (Ernie) Lance. Sherry grew up in Waterbury, CT and worked in the hospitality industry until her move to Colorado Springs, CO in the 1990's, where she worked as a CNA until the early 2000's. In 1994 she married Robert Loining, with whom she shared her life until his passing in 2015. Sherry moved to Lake Suzy, Florida in July 2020. Living with Brian and Sue, she fell in love with Florida because of the amazing weather. She spent her days walking outdoors, writing in her journal and meeting new friends. She was also an avid animal lover, especially her beloved cat Charlie, who was by her side when she passed. She is predeceased by both her parents, as well as her brothers Tony, Jimmy and Rich Lance, who will all be waiting for her at the gates of heaven. Left to cherish her memory are her brother Brian and his partner Sue, numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends.
