IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley Louise
Adams
February 18, 1946 – March 23, 2024
Shirley Louise Adams, 78, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024, at her home in Ormond Beach, FL. Born on February 18, 1946, in Cortland, NY, she lived life her way. She married John Albert Adams on February 26, 1971, in Manlius, NY.
She was an intelligent, hard worker who knew what she wanted. She was the office manager at Overhead Door in Binghamton, NY where she worked alongside her husband for over 20 years. She was happiest when shew was hosting a party or a house full of company for the Daytona 500. She loved music, especially a love for Freddy Fender, which she shares with her son, Richard and Elvis Christmas albums. She enjoyed her Genesee Beer and cooking everyone's favorite foods when you came to visit. She loved to watch her movies and shows, seeing every episode of Mama's Family and the Golden Girls. Her greatest love was her two children, Richard and Angel, who she loved to provide her sage advice too.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Mary and Shawn Nichols for all the help and support they have provided to Shirley. Mary was like a second daughter to Shirley and has supported the entire family through this difficult time.
She is survived by her husband, John; her children, Richard Campbell and Angel Adams (Brian Murphy), and younger sisters, Betty Holder and Kathy Jennings (Jim); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred West, brother Joey West, brother-in-law, Patrick Holder and her very best friend, Kathy Jorgenson. Shirley is also preceded in death by her former husbands, Ronald Campbell and Clifford Davison. The family will host a gathering at her home on April 6 th , 2024. Please contact the family for specific details.
In lieu of flowers, Shirley requested donation be made to dog rescue, Sophie's Circle.
