Shirley Muszynski Gelnaw, 92, of Fort Myers, passed away January 19, 2021, at Health Park Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, FL. Born in Hackensack, NJ., she was the daughter of Henry Thomas Muszynski and Mary Helen Muszynski. She attended the Bellevue School of Nursing in New York City, where she acquired certification as a registered nurse. She was the owner of Wheelhouse Marina, and enjoyed traveling, flying, dancing, gardening, and raising six children. Surviving are her sons, Jeffrey Gelnaw of Whiting, NJ., and Gregory (Theresa) Gelnaw of Beachwood, NJ., daughters, Shirley Ann (David) Mathis of Port Charlotte, FL., Laurie Bitterli of Fort Myers, FL., and Bonnie Sue Ferrell of Fort Myers, FL., 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Earl R. Gelnaw, and son, Earl Gelnaw Jr.. Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Fort Myers, assisted with arrangements.
