Simp "Buddy" Cook Jr., 78, of Palm Coast, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at home.

Buddy Cook was born on December 23, 1942 in Mullins, South Carolina, son of Simp Cook and Mary Isabell Lovin. He was a retired auto mechanic. Buddy loved working on his miniature car collections, trains, and cooking. He was a former volunteer firefighter for Volusia County Fire Department.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 42 years, M. Lynn Cook, sons, Vernon Davis Cook (wife Kris) of Eagan MN, Troy Huggins (fiancé Patty) of Deland, FL, his daughter Kimberly Turner (husband Jeff) of Palm Coast, FL, his grandchildren Taylor Cook of Eagan, MN, Calvin Huggins of Deland, FL, Emily Turner of Palm Coast, FL, and Clay Turner (wife Desirae) of Hastings, FL, Stephen Huggins of Dallas, GA and 1 great-grandson, Andrew Allan Turner of Hasting, FL, and his brothers Jeff and John Cook of Mullins, South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. Private memorial services are being held.
