May 18, 1941 – March 22, 2018
Soujatty Seehusahai, 76, of Ocala, FL, originally from New Amsterdam, Guyana, passed away March 22, 2018 peacefully at home with her son, Chan by her side.
Sewah married Ramjit (Harold) Seehusahai in 1957 and remained happily so for 41 years. In 1968, they migrated to Hartford,CT where she was a teacher at Women's League Day Care Center and an alumni of Wilfred Beauty Academy. The enterprising couple started Seehusahai and Sons Rolling Store and five years later Sewah, Harold, and Chan opened Seehusahai /General Store which operated for 11 years.
Sewah was a member of Myrtle Lake Baptist Church in Lutz, FL. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Melia and Nicolas. Hobbies included knitting, crocheting, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
Sewah is survived by her two sons Pravas Chandra Seehusahai of Ocala FL and Tony (Rosie) Seehusahai of Elkins Park, PA; grandchildren Melia, Nicolas, Anya, and Jared, cousin Kash Daljeet Sukdeo of Waterloo, Canada,who Sewah cherished deeply,nephews Vernon Harkisoon, Steve (Jill) Krishna Rohan, Vishnu Naraine and Seeta (Carl) Parkinson of CT.
Sewah is pre-deceased by her husband Harold, her two sons Ishwar and Rohan, brothers Jagath (Esther) Naraine,Supaul (Seeta)Naraine, Ivan (Neal)Naraine, sister Rajratti(Patrick) Singh,nephews Pream and Indar Singh, and God sister Muriel Virgo.
I would like to thank with gratitude, Seeta Parkinson for all the support and guidance over the past 8 years, Auntie Ermila for her positive words and prayers which were much appreciated, the entire Singh family, especially Shanti, PJ, Mahin, Pamela, and daughters-in-law Sandra and Mickey Singh,and Dave(Deacon) and Janet Stevenson for all your support.
Mom will always be remembered for her wonderful smile and her hearty laugh which was often contagious. May you find peace and tranquility in heaven and I will see you soon.
A visitation will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations (11250 SW 93rd Ct. Rd. Ocala, FL 352-236-7813) on Saturday, March 31st at 2PM, with a private ceremony to follow.
