Stafford “Chip” C Carter Jr (68) passed away May 16, 2026. Chip was born on June 22, 1957 in Pensacola, Florida but lived most of his life in Titusville, Florida. He was the son of Stafford C Carter Sr and Lucille Lagana Carter. After graduation from Astronaut High School, Chip served in the US Army and later worked at the Kennedy Space Center. He was an avid follower of the space program and was proud to support his country.

He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Gustafson (Bruce), niece, Sarah L Gustafson, nephew, Mark Gustafson (Brooke), and cousins, Christina Trowbridge (Don), Leanne Suserud (Bob), Ana Carter, Connie Lou Murray, Felton Little (Richard).

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Brevard Humane Society, Holy Spirit Catholic Church Food Pantry (Mims), or a charity of your choosing.
