Obituary

Stanford Ray Freeman, Sr., age 83, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on October 25, 2026.

Born on July 16, 1943, Stanford grew up in Creeds, Virginia, where his life’s journey began.

Stanford spent his career behind the wheel of a semi-truck, logging millions of miles on the open road. Retirement didn’t slow him down; he simply changed vehicles, continuing to explore the country, often pulling the family RV. The open road remained a cherished part of his life from his working days well into his retirement. In his spare time, he also loved crafting and taking to the skies, spending many happy hours building and flying remote-control airplanes.

Known for his kind heart, Stanford was always the first to lend a helping hand. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a natural gift for bringing laughter to those around him. His warmth, wit, and generosity will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

Surviving Family: Stanford is survived by his children: daughters Spring Milbourn and Terri Freeman, and son Stanford Ray Freeman, Jr. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Erica Mae Morning, Mary Freeman, and Michael Freeman; and his sister, Carol Lewark.

Preceded in Death: He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Aloma Robinson Freeman; his parents, Joseph and Edna Freeman; and his siblings, Joseph W. Freeman, Jr., and Mildred Ansell.

Service Details: Arrangements are private.
