IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stanley Frank
Wojnar, Jr.
April 25, 1938 – September 4, 2024
Stanley (Stan) Frank Wojnar Jr passed away on September 4, 2024, in Ormond Beach, FL after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 86 (forever 29).
Stan was born on April 25, 1938, in Cleveland, OH to his parents Stanley Frank Wojnar Sr (†) and Rose Frances Pavlin (†). He attended Cathedral Latin High School and Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland, OH. Stan proudly and honorably served his country as a tanker in the United States Army 1st Battalion 66th Armor 2nd Armored Division (Hell on Wheels) from 1961-1963 and Army Reserves from 1963-1967. After Stan's military service he went to work as an Electrical Engineer at B&W/Bailey Controls/ABB Inc for over 37 years where he was a respected and esteemed colleague and retired as an International Project Manager.
Stan's first love was baseball. In his youth he was a catcher for the Cleveland Baseball Federation. In later years, he served as president of Willowick Little League Baseball and was also a coach to his sons.
Stan was an adoring husband to his loving wife Chris (aka "My Sweetie"); a devoted father to his sons Michael, Christopher (Kristan), Timothy (Lauren) and daughter Alicia (aka "My Partner") (Myke); a fun loving grandpa/papa to Declan, Sophia, Natalie, Nicholas, Alivia, Anna, Christopher, Grace, and Katie ; a caring son-in-law to Marilyn, a trusted brother to Frances (George), Mary Jo (William), Mark (Caroline), John (†), Gerard (Pamela), Sister Ann, Regina (Michael †), and Michael (Rose); dearest brother-in-law to Mary (Tom), and loved family member and friend to hundreds.
Stan was a great man who will be missed by all who knew him. He was so sweet, patient, kind, and willing to help anyone with anything. Stan loved spending time with his family and friends at countless gatherings involving laughter, beer, competitive games of beach bocce ball, cards, darts, pool, cornhole, tabletop shuffleboard, gambling, golf, puzzles, and his beloved Cleveland Browns. Stan enjoyed building and fixing everything (our own "MacGyver"). His greatest love was traveling the world and living on the ocean with his "Sweetie" who will miss her "Hon" more than words can ever express.
