Stephanie Wynne Wise, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, in DeLand, Florida, at the age of 64. She courageously fought a lengthy illness, demonstrating unwavering strength and grace throughout her battle.

Born on April 11, 1961, Stephanie brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. She is survived by her parents, George and Peggy Webster of DeLand, FL; her son, Shane Gray of LaGrange, KY; and her adored granddaughter, Alice Gray of Louisville, KY. A steadfast presence in Stephanie's life was her sister, Kimberly (Chipper) Zettler of DeLand, who lovingly held her hand until the very end. She also leaves behind her nephews, Alex Hayden of DeLand and Mathew Chilton of Omaha, NE, and her lifelong best friend, Sandy Shipley of Louisville, KY, with whom she shared countless memories over 50 years of friendship.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Schmidt, and her son, Sean Gray, both of whom remain forever in her heart.

In keeping with her wishes, Stephanie will be cremated, and no formal service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, as a tribute to her strength and the battles that countless families face. Stephanie's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, infectious laughter, and the immense love she shared with those around her. Rest in peace, dear Stephanie. You will be missed beyond measure.
