IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephen W.
Killingsworth
September 21, 1948 – September 4, 2022
Stephen W. Killingsworth
Steve was born on September 21st, 1948 and called home on September 4th, 2022. A lifelong resident of Orlando, he was preceded in death by his parents N.D. and Marie Killingsworth. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joy, and his two daughters, Michelle (Brad) Chancey of Orlando, and Heather (Mark) Kingsley of Madison, AL. He has four grandchildren who were the loves of his life, Ellie and Grady Chancey, and Chase and Camden Kingsley. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Jones, and several nieces and nephews.
Steve grew up in College Park. He attended Lake Silver Elementary, Lee Middle School, and Edgewater High School, where his daughters would both later graduate as well. He attended Orlando Junior College and the Orlando Aviation Academy. He worked in aviation for several years before transitioning to the business machines industry. He was the owner of Steve Killingsworth Copiers and Supplies for nearly 45 years before retiring.
Steve was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Winter Park, where he was both baptized and confirmed. Steve loved to boat and fish, spending as much time on the water as possible and passing along his love for fishing and the outdoors to his grandchildren. He loved Florida Gators and UCF Knights football games and spent every Saturday in the fall attending games or watching them play.
Steve was liked by all he crossed paths with and never met a stranger. He was a wonderful man who was known for his kind, welcoming and outgoing spirit. He will be missed greatly by all of his family and many friends.
A memorial service and visitation will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Winter Park on Sunday, September 11th, at 3pm.
