Stephen Donald Pickrel 67, of Tavares, Florida, passed peacefully on March 7, 2024, after a battle with cancer at home with Cornerstone Hospice and family by side. Was born March 19, 1957, in Lynchburg, Virginia. He moved to Florida in 1970. He was a carpenter, brick mason, and concrete finisher for Trask Construction in Eustis for many years. Stephen was loved by many, he will be missed immensely by his daughter Stephanie, they held a very precious bond. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Stephen is survived by his life time companion Sharon Jernigan and his daughter Stephanie Pickrel, step daughter Jennifer Jernigan and grandchildren Tyler and Kayla.
