Stephen
Von Roenn
March 9, 1955 – April 3, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Von Roenn, a man of precision and a pillar of our family.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and after attending Xavier University, he built a distinguished 40-year career with IBM where his technical accuracy and problem-solving skills made him a respected colleague. He was a expert auto mechanic who could diagnose and repair anything, often doing so for family and friends alike. He brought hard work and attention to detail to every project and task he undertook, whether at home, work, or on the racetrack, where he and his beloved wife and friends spent many seasons racing in vintage car circuits.
After raising his family and retiring in Boulder, Colorado, he eventually found his way to the sunshine and golf courses of Florida. While he was always most at home in the garage, he also enjoyed the lifelong challenge of improving his skills on the links.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years Renee Von Roenn; son Sean (Content) Von Roenn; daughter Lauren (Jon Ormsby) Von Roenn; and five grandchildren who will forever remember his strength, his wisdom, and his quiet pride in their accomplishments. He is also survived by numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Troy Von Roenn.
Stephen leaves behind a legacy of dedication, perfectly tuned engines, and a family that loved him dearly. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.
