Stephen John Willey (Big Will), 67, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 13, 2025, with his beloved dog, Leo, by his side.

Stephen was born on July 19, 1957, in Albany, New York, to William R. Willey Sr. and Victoria L. Monzo. A lifelong animal lover, Stephen shared a special bond with the pets who were part of his life.

He graduated from Linton High School in Schenectady, New York, in 1975 and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1978 to 1980.

Stephen had a natural gift for music. He loved to sing, dance, and play the bass guitar, especially when jamming with his nephews. His sense of humor and playful spirit were always present, and he brought joy to those around him. Over the years, he worked in boat building and vehicle repair, using his hands and skills to solve problems and create.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, William R. Willey Sr. and Victoria L. Monzo; his wife, Kathryn Willey (Guinn); his daughter, Jessica Harris; his dogs Victoria Rose, Ariel, and Leo; his cats Tasha and Angelo; his brother, Richard D. Willey; niece Heather Michelle Willey; nephew Christopher Willey; niece Michelle Cacchione (Mickey); brother-in-law Tom Stepp; brother-in-law Michael Cacchione; and Diane Willey.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Trinity Harris; his brothers William R. Willey Jr., Robert Willey, Michael Willey (wife Mindy Willey), David Willey, and Tim Kenyor; and his sisters Donna Carosella Stepp, Marie Barta, and Kathie Cacchione.

Stephen's legacy continues through his many nieces and nephews: Jeremiah W. Carosella (wife Lisa Carosella), Shane Stepp (wife Leah Stepp), Matt Willey, Jason Willey, Brandon Ronca, Andrew Ronca, David Willey (DJ), Jessica Stepp Lopez (husband Pedro Lopez), Kim Quinlivan, Desiree Willey, Sarah Cacchione, and Melissa Stewart Peterson.

He is also remembered with love by his great-nieces and nephews: Elizabeth Odoardo (Biz), Ava Dunn, Alexander Dunn, Teague Carosella, Lydia Carosella, Gracie Warren, Nate Warren, Zidane McGregor (Zee), Aiden Stepp, Layla Stepp, Joshua Reynolds, Angel Hartman, David Willey (Squishy), Haden Moller, MJ Moller, and Hunter Moller.

Stephen will be remembered for his big heart, his laughter, his music, and the love he gave freely to his family and his pets.

A Celebration of Stephen's life will be held from 3:00pm-6:00pm on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Club Lago in Hacienda del Rio, 480 Rio Grande, In Hacienda del Rio, Edgewater, FL 32141.
