Steve Rothlein was born on Feb. 15 ^th 1952 in Miami Beach, FL.He moved to New York when he was 16 years old.  There he graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Bachelor's degree.    He moved to Florida and accepted a position with the Miami Dade Police Department and went on to get his Master's degree from the University of Miami.  He worked for the Miami Dade Police Department for 30 years.  He was a great family man who was very active in his children's and grandchildren's lives.  His family and friends will always remember him as a kind, giving, and humble person who had a very big heart.

The funeral is a closed service for family members only.  The family would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts.  In lieu of flowers, please give to the National Parkinson's Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
