Steven A Blackman Sr born March 19 ^th , 1955 of Orlando Florida by way of Bronx, New York departed this earthly life on August 8 ^th , 2019.

Steven was predeceased by his parents Ashton and Vernice Blackman and his sister Nadine Blackman.

Steven is survived by his son Steven A Blackman Jr and wife Nikole, ex-wife Judy Blackman, daughter Cheryl A Beverly, grandchildren Alysia, Mickayla, Vanessa, and Ashton, and great grandchildren Amira and Aliyah.

During his early years, Steven attended Bronx Community College where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree, City College where he obtained his Master's of Science in Education, and Long Island University where he obtained a second Master's of Science degree. The overwhelming dedication he had toward his education led to 18 years tenured in education including time served as a Teacher, Counselor, Principal, and a College Adjunct Professor.

Aside from spending time creating lasting memories with friends and family, Steven had a host of hobbies including cooking, fishing, bowling, gardening, sports (little league coach), reading, and camping. He was well known for starting the first predominantly Black Boy Scout Troop (Troop 8) in Bridgeport Connecticut.

Steven will be missed but not forgotten. If he were here to comment, he would certainly say:
