Steven David Jorgensen, 72, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025. Born on October 1, 1952, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Steve's life was a shining testament to service, wisdom, compassion, and a quick, joyful wit that lit up the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Steve dedicated thirty unwavering years to the United States Coast Guard, serving both in active duty and reserves. His steadfast devotion to his country and his unwavering sense of duty defined him, inspiring all who knew him to lead with integrity and passion.

He is profoundly cherished by his wife, Rose Jorgensen; his twin brother, Mike Jorgensen; and his older brother, Bruce Jorgensen. He is father to Matthew, Benjamin, Zachary, and Katy Jorgensen. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert and Laura Jorgensen.

Steven will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, a fitting tribute to his ultimate commitment to service and sacrifice.

Steve's enduring legacy of kindness, intelligence, and humor will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His absence leaves a void that will be felt deeply, but his spirit and the love he shared will remain eternal.
