Steven George Peliotes November 16, 1931 – August 22, 2017.  Steve Peliotes passed away peacefully in the Hospital on August 22 with family by his side. He was the son of George and Frances Peliotes who immigrated to the United States from Pelos, Greece in the early 1900's.  Steve was the youngest of five children and was born in Muskegon, Michigan.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp from 1951-1954 as a Sea Going Marine, otherwise known as a "Seahorse," on the USS New Jersey BB62 during the Korean War.  Steve was one of very few enlistees from the Midwest that trained at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego (known as a "Hollywood Marine" by many other Servicemen).  This started a life-long love of boats and the water.  He was decorated and reached the rank of Sergeant.  After his honorable discharge from the Marines, Steve returned to Muskegan in 1954.  Chasing his love for boats, he worked at Seaway Marine of which he eventually owned and operated.   Steve sold the business and moved his family to Neenah, Wisconsin in 1972 to join Universal Motors continuing a lifelong career in the marine engine industry.

Steve was proudest of his family.  His six Children with his wife, Sharron Hargis: Stephanee King, Fran Armstrong (Hal), George Peliotes, Dail Peliotes (Denelle),Genevieve Peliotes, Jim Peliotes (Ann), his seven Grandchildren: Alex King (Kari), Catherine (Armstrong) Ozark (Scott), Elizabeth Armstrong, Jonathan & Michael Peliotes,  Benjamin & Nathaniel Peliotes, his one Great Grandchild: Theodore Ozark, and finally, his Love and best friend of the last 22 years Sharron Brown and her family; Three Children: Christopher Brown (Lee), Ann Brown, and Courtney Laduke (Joe) and their daughter Savannah, and Sharron's sister Peggy Dexter.

Steve retired to Florida in 90's taking final roots in Hacienda Del Rio in Edgewater.  He was very active with the Hacienda Veterans group and the local Korean War Veterans organization.

Steve will be missed! He will be interred with Military Honors at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
