We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Steven Alexander Saldarriaga, aged 38, at the Orlando VA Medical Center. Steven left us peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 6, 2024. He was born on December 19, 1985, in Queens, New York, the son of Jose and Angela Saldarriaga.

He was proud of his Peruvian heritage and spent a few years living and working in Lima. Steven loved talking to his family and always brought a smile to everyone's face.

Steven is survived by his mother, Angela Wong Saldarriaga; his brother, Anthony; his stepfather, Pablo E. Ruiz; and a wide circle of friends and relatives who will miss him dearly.

We thank Steven for his military service, and he will be interred with honors.

A memorial service will be held on April 26, 2024, at South Florida National Cemetery, located 6501 SR-7 S; Lake Worth, FL 33449 at 8:45 AM followed by reception.

As we say goodbye, we cherish the memories and the time we had with Steven.
