Susan L Kabella (McCauley) of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away peacefully at home in Lehigh Acres, FL, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  Susan is survived by her husband of 59 years Albert Kabella, her children John Kabella of Lehigh Acres and Kathryn and Jeffrey Penn of Fort Myers, her sister Sheila D'Agostino (McCauley) of St Louis, MO and her two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Susan was born on May 18 ^th , 1946, in Evansville, IN where she grew up on the Ohio River until she met her husband and moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where they had their two children before moving to NW Indiana, Indianapolis, and then retiring to Florida.  She was preceded in death by her parents John E McCauley and Marjorie McCauley (Roehm) of Newburgh, IN and her sister Sara Slack (McCauley) of Wilsonville, OR.

Susan was known for the love she had for her family, country and her strong spirituality.  She was the life of any party, loved her patriotic music and the occasional "very" dirty martini.  She will be missed more than she could ever imagine.  We are better for having loved and known her.

A funeral is scheduled for Susan on April 5 ^th , 2025, at 1:00 PM at St John the XXIII Catholic Church in Fort Myers, followed by a Celebration of her Life from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at The Westminster Golf Club in Lehigh Acres, FL.
