Susan Ann Harden Outlaw, age 79, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, entered eternal rest peacefully at her home on November 19, 2020.

A resident of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Susan was born to Edna Margaret Kornitzer and Bascom Dewitt Harden, Jr. on December 13 ^th , 1940 at New York Hospital in Manhattan, New York City. She resided in Bayside, Queens, New York, until 1959, when she moved to New Smyrna Beach, Florida with her parents.

In 1961 Susan married Durwood Allen Outlaw, of Mount Olive, North Carolina, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach, Florida. In 1973, Durwood and Susan established D&S Fruit and Gifts, in the former Harbor Oaks area of Port Orange, Florida, a family business until retiring in 2006.

Susan and enjoyed walking on the beach with her friends, playing darts, and was a Lifelong member of the Lady's Elks #1557. In recent years she enjoyed dancing at her granddaughter's wedding.

Susan was predeceased in death by her parents, her brothers Dewitt John Harden and Roy Harvey Harden; nephew Dewitt Thomas Harden, and by her dear friends Dottie Monaco, Linda DeBorde, Paulette Wolf, and Peggy Swann.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Durwood Outlaw; her three children, Durwood Outlaw, Jr. (Tammy), Catherine Outlaw (Chris Besta) of Montclair, New Jersey, and Stefanie Outlaw (Sheila Bewsee) of Daytona Beach, Florida, and four grandchildren; Nikki (Alex) Gagiu, Delray Beach, Florida; Lisa (Mike) Campana, Tuckahoe, New York; and Maureen Outlaw & Durwood Outlaw III (Beth); and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and many in-laws, as well as many long time friends.

Susan will be interred at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida on December 8th at 9:30 am. In lieu of funeral arrangements at this time, due to the coronavirus, the family will hold a memorial service honoring her life in the spring or summer of 2021. Donations can be made in the charity of one's choice in her name.
