Thomas (Roger) Battle, Jr., age 83, of Trafford, Pennsylvania, resided in Tampa, FL, since 1980.

Roger began a 30-year career with IBM, earning recognition from NASA for his contributions to the Apollo Missions, including the moon landing, as well as many other notable projects.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vickie, and his children: Aundra, Ryan (Kim), Lee, Lindsey, and Tiffany (Jarib). Roger also leaves behind five grandchildren-Mia, Lexi, Jaden, Brody, and Vela-and his dear friend, Jim Nadar.
Roger will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his love of family, his passion for playing cards, his zeal for football (Go Steelers and Nittany Lions!), baseball, hockey, music, word searches, and his sweet tooth-especially for cookies.
